Sustainability plays a key role at SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport. The development is characterized by high-quality design and eco-friendly materials, and will hold BREEAM Excellent certification. All of this is aimed at reducing the carbon footprint and optimizing energy costs for users.

Van Berlo provided the floors and pile foundations on Mini Vibropiles for four logistics units. Recycled raw materials from Urban Mine were used in Van Berlo’s Greymatter floors, reducing the need for new (primary) materials and further lowering CO₂ emissions. This requires extra care. The properties of recycled materials influence the behavior of the concrete. This means: greater attention to detail in the design and during construction.
